As part of The Essential Robert Indiana exhibition at the Indianapolis Museum of Art, IMA Lab designed two in-gallery TourML driven iPad applications to provide better context to the works on display.
What We Did
The first app features images, text, and video content and is broken down into four sections: Indiana’s Life, Stories, Influences, and Indiana and the IMA. The app highlights some of the key events in Indiana’s career as well as his artistic processes. In addition, users have access to stories specific to thirteen artworks featured within the exhibition. The influences section highlights Indiana’s relationships with fellow artists. Finally, the app features a section that details Indiana’s long standing relationship with the IMA.
The second app features interviews and footage of Indiana.
